There are 6 weeks left until #GivingTuesday, and many nonprofits are getting their campaigns up and running. #GivingTuesday has become a very important aspect of fall fundraising for nonprofits and continues to grow every year. Although donors are more inclined to donate on #GivingTuesday itself, it’s important to set up fundraising pages at least a month in advance. When supporters start donating early, they will also share on social media, helping to create momentum for the campaign.
Below, we’ve highlighted #GivingTuesday campaigns ranging in various causes from recent years:
PAWS Chicago ran an adorable campaign last year to raise awareness for animal welfare and tied it in with the holiday season!
Partnership for Drug-Free Kids
Partnership for Drug-Free Kids set a goal of $10,000 for their campaign, and surpassed it by raising $27,000 last year! This is an excellent example of how goal setting is an important practice, and a motivating factor for passionate #GivingTuesday donors.
In it’s 2017 #GivingTuesday campaign, YAI broke down donation amounts to show exactly how kids benefit from each donation. This is a great way to encourage donors to be generous.
