Representing Rallybound, I recently had the privilege to attend a living room event with the Go2 Lung Cancer Foundation (formally Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation and the Lung Cancer Alliance). By combining, the new foundation is able to battle lung cancer with both medicine (a strength of the Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation) and patient advocacy and political change (a strength of the Lung Cancer Alliance).
Now, these two patient-first, game-changing organizations have joined forces and Rallybound is inspired to be assisting them in their new combined mission (which they call “powerhouse,” “double the impact” and “double the hope”).
During the event, I was introduced to Bonnie Addario, the namesake of the former Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation. At the end of the lunch she acknowledged the importance of the “family” of employees at the Go2 Lung Cancer Foundation.
After lunch at the living room event I was able to see how the co-founders interacted with patients and survivors. Their entire leadership team was kind and generous with a clear passion to help others.
As I said my goodbyes, each individual that we work with thanked me for coming. It’s that same attention to detail and care that has helped them with their growth year after year as individual organizations and now as a combined org. Again, we are proud to be in a position to empower the great work being done by so many others.
