Earlier today at Dreamforce, Salesforce’s annual conference, the company announced a new giving campaign to aid recovery efforts in Puerto Rico in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria.
In conjunction with ConPRmetidos and powered by a RallyBound standalone donation page (demo site), the $1 million campaign has been launched to, “jump-start community driven projects to empower marginalized and vulnerable communities and will, specifically, be used for long-term rebuilding, economic development and the restoration of power as a service across,” Puerto Rico.
The announcement at Dreamforce was highlighted by an appearance (and performance) by Luis Fonsi of “Despacito” fame. Salesforce will be encouraging the hundreds of thousands of people attending and supporting Dreamforce in San Francisco to donate to this great cause.
